Wooden Panel

Fragment from a panel with painted wood and deeply carved with a triangle-plan of interlocking, tangent, six-petalled red and blue rosettes. Large, white interlaced circles at their points of contact forming interstitial compartments enclosing red, blue and yellow trefoils divided by white tripartite ribs. The petals of the rosettes also divided in two by white ribs issuing from a small white floret at the centre of each rosette, the hollows painted black, one long side forming an orignal edge, the other sides cut.
