The University of Alberta Museum is a non-profit organization that houses 30 collections in over 100 locations across the University of Alberta North Campus. The U of A Museums focuses on teaching, research and community engagement. The U of A Museums began collecting artifacts in 1908 and became a centralized unit in the 1970s. Utilizing its various collections, the U of A Museums puts focus on object-based learning and aims to keep the collections available to students and classes as well as the general public.
