Doesn't work with October update

This extension has been very useful for years, but it doesn't work with the latest chat spaces since October update. We will be very grateful if you fix it.Thanks.

The "Persons Name" Changed when quoting their message

I was trying to quote a message and replied back to it. But for some reason the quote reply changed the persons name to another one in the group. Dont know why this hapenned. Never seem this before. Actually, someone else notified me of this issue. How come the message was quoted as someone else typing it.

Found a Bug

There is a bug when using quote reply with the messages that include bullet points.

Thread link button no longer appears

Since about March 31, the button to copy a link to the thread no longer appears in any chat space.

The follow button is still there, so the issue must not be related to that.

The quote reply button is still working normally.

Thanks for making this very useful extension! I'm looking forward to being able to use it again.

Copy Thread Link Not Available

When I create a Room in Google Chat, there is no Follow Button for all the conversations. And because there is no Follow Button, the Copy Thread Link also do not appear. It would be great to make it appear anyway.

Jumps away from my thread after a couple seconds

I'm not sure if this is related to the extension or just google chat, but when I use a thread link that I created (generally it's the older ones from over a week ago), it works great, I'm reading the thread, and then the page just jumps down. Any advice on how to deal with this?

Breaks when 'Notify always' is selected

Thanks for creating the extension. Looks like the 'copy link to thread' is anchored to the 'follow/unfollow' button. When you have notifications on a room set to 'notify always' the follow button is removed but this also removes the copy link button.

Fixing the problem manually

For you who's the extension has stopped working, do the following:
1. Download the extension to your machine (here -> https://github.com/upman/gchat-copy)
2. Update the code:
content.js -> https://github.com/upman/gchat-copy/blob/2174558b7ebb2f30202fba9103a44eabafa72fa1/content.js
manifest.js -> https://github.com/upman/gchat-copy/blob/2174558b7ebb2f30202fba9103a44eabafa72fa1/manifest.json
just copy and paste
3. install the extension without packing (google how to do it, it's easy)
4. It's done.
