ChatGPT Thread Cleaner helps reduce browser lag in long ChatGPT conversations. The extension removes old message elements from the page DOM within the current chat and keeps only the most recent N messages (default: 4). This prevents the DOM from growing too large and improves performance during long sessions. How it works: - Cleans up old message elements (article) in the current ChatGPT conversation - Keeps the last N messages in the DOM - Runs only after explicit user action (button, popup, or context menu) All operations are performed locally in the browser. No message content is collected, stored, or transmitted.
