Font Blackness & Addition of Justify Text Alignment

Greeting,

I’ve noticed that the Iowan Old Style font in “Normal” weight appears noticeably gray rather than black, especially when compared to how it renders in applications like Microsoft Word. This reduced contrast makes the text harder to read.
Additionally, I have compared it against other reader and apps that use Iowan Old Style and found that it is true in those cases as well.

It seems that the Light version of the font may be used by default, rather than the Regular weight or there might be different root cause. However, increasing the font weight in the settings makes the text too bold, which doesn’t resolve the issue effectively.

This behavior also affects other serif fonts such as Times New Roman and Lora, suggesting a possible rendering issue or a broader font handling inconsistency.

For reference, here is a screenshot comparing Iowan Old Style as rendered in Reader versus Microsoft Word:

Lastly, I appreciate the inclusion of the Justify alignment option—it's a nice touch for a neat layout and a long-form reading.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
