After enabling "API Access Control", the extension stopped working

In the 'API Access Control' setup, after enabling "For admin-approved users, limit API access to only allowlisted connected apps", the extension stopped working. For this Lightning studio extension, not able to find a connected app to grant access in 'Connected Apps OAuth Usage' setup page. When tried to open the Lightning studio receiving "Session expired or invalid" error.

Session ID Invalid/Expired Error in Sandbox - All Documented Fixes Attempted

PROBLEM:
Lightning Studio extension consistently returns "INVALID_SESSION_ID: Session expired or invalid" error when used in Salesforce Sandbox environment (URL: https://madol--doldev.sandbox.lightning.force.com). The error occurs immediately upon trying to use the extension.

ENVIRONMENT:
- Salesforce Sandbox (DOLDev)
- Chrome Browser (Mac)
- Extension Version: Latest from Chrome Web Store
- Date: January 29, 2026
- Note: Salesforce Inspector Reloaded works perfectly in the same sandbox, confirming the issue is specific to Lightning Studio

ATTEMPTED RESOLUTIONS (All Failed):

1. SESSION SETTINGS:
- Enabled "When embedding a Lightning application in a third-party site, use a session token instead of a session cookie" (Setup > Session Settings)
- Verified "Lock sessions to the IP address from which they originated" is DISABLED
- Verified "Enable CORS for OAuth endpoints" is ENABLED
- Session timeout set to 8 hours

2. TRUSTED DOMAINS:
- Added sandbox URL (https://madol--doldev.sandbox.lightning.force.com) to Trusted Domains for Inline Frames (Setup > Session Settings > Trusted Domains)
- Sandbox domain now whitelisted for iframe access

3. CORS CONFIGURATION:
- Added Chrome extension origin (chrome-extension://ehkpneicmpbdejpoancidgkejlkahjgo) to CORS Allowed Origins List (Setup > Security > CORS)
- CORS for OAuth endpoints confirmed enabled

4. BROWSER/EXTENSION FIXES:
- Cleared all browser cache and cookies (all time)
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Lightning Studio extension
- Restarted Chrome browser multiple times
- Logged out and logged back into Salesforce
- Opened Developer Console to establish valid session on *.my.salesforce.com domain
- Attempted hard refresh (Cmd+Shift+R)

5. VERIFICATION:
- Verified all Salesforce security settings are correct
- Confirmed session is valid (other extensions work)
- Confirmed API access is enabled
- No IP restrictions or MFA blocking access

SIMILAR ISSUE REPORTED:
Another user (Dinesh, Jan 23, 2026) reported identical issue on this support page: "Session expired or invalid error. Seems like session establishment is not working any more for this app."

REQUEST:
This appears to be a bug with Lightning Studio's authentication mechanism in sandbox environments. Please investigate and provide a fix or workaround for sandbox authentication. The extension works in production orgs but consistently fails in sandboxes despite all documented fixes being applied.

Thank you.ISSUE:
Lightning Studio extension consistently returns "Session ID Invalid/Expired Error" when attempting to authenticate in Salesforce sandbox environment (*.sandbox.my.salesforce.com). Error persists despite all documented troubleshooting steps.

ENVIRONMENT:
- Browser: Chrome (Mac)

- Note: Salesforce Inspector extension works correctly in same environment

1. SALESFORCE SESSION SETTINGS:
- Enabled "Allow users to access Salesforce from outside your trusted networks without requiring user security tokens"
- Disabled IP restrictions (Lock sessions to the IP address from which they originated = unchecked)
- Session timeout settings reviewed and confirmed

2. TRUSTED DOMAINS:
- Added sandbox domain to Trusted Sites (Setup > Session Settings > Trusted Domains)
- Sandbox domain now whitelisted for iframe access

3. CORS CONFIGURATION:
- Added Chrome extension origin (chrome-extension://ehkpneicmpbdejpoancidgkejlkahjgo) to CORS Allowed Origins List (Setup > Security > CORS)
