Did exactly what I needed it to do! Removes the excess times of day outside of our working hours so I don't have to scroll through. I second another commenter's suggestion to change the way month overlap works. Thanks!

Thanks :-) I've just submitted v3.0.16 which improves the way month overlap works in both Month and Year views. It should be approved within 24 hours, and you can then use Hide Adj. Dates (M) and Hide Adj. Dates (M) to control this in the Month view and Hide Adj. Dates (Y) for the Year view.

Overall helpful, but not the "at a glance" help that I was hoping for in yearly view. For example, I find it confusing because every month shows 42 days. The end of one month overlaps into the start of the next by 14 days ie both months show these 14 days. Also finding the hover function is not working but I have it toggled on. Hovering causes the date to highlight with a circle but that's all.

Hi Rob, (UPDATED) I've just submitted v3.0.16 which will hide dates for adjacent months with the option "Hide Adj. Dates (Y)". As for hover, that should work perfectly - are you using a recent version of chrome and have you disabled any other extensions to test if there's a conflict? It should show titles (or descriptions) when you hover over events in any view - but not when you just hover over a date in Year view (you'd have to click a date first, then hover over an event).

The tool isn't perfect but I do enjoy being able to limit the visible hours (only reason I use it.) Recently I discovered the use L/R arrows for previous & next accidentally because they are actually active when editing calendar events too. I'd move the cursor 3 left in an event title and my calendar would adjust by 3 weeks. I'm turning this off. Note to the developers, I think the default should be off on any new features. And if possible, detect when not in a situation where the they sh... Show more

Thank you for pointing that out, I've submitted an update v3.0.15 that fixes L/R arrows. GCalPlus should update automatically as soon as it's approved which usually takes about 24 hours. Every feature does default to off for new users, and although I try to ensure there are no unintended side-effects Google Calendar updates often so things like this sometimes happen.

Time Range doesn’t seem to change anything, unfortunately. I’m a Mac user. Is it currently unusable?

The time range should work fine - I use Mac too. The only limitation is that sometimes evening hours can't be hidden because of the way Google displays the page. If you contact me by email (info at gcaltools dot com) I can help figure out what's wrong. Usually it's another Chrome Extension that interferes.

good and usefull app, but I might be willing to add some stars to my review if an option to hide events from past and future months from "yearly view" is added. google agenda is still not cleanly usable for me without this. Also just a bit slow to load the hightlight of event in the yearly view too. good day and thanks.

Can you clarify what you mean by "an option to hide events from past and future months from yearly view"? Events are not displayed anyway in the yearly view - do you mean only show busy/free for the current month?

love the weekend color option, and "today" border. What I'd still like to see, however, is something to delineate the start of new months... when any given month is open, the rest of the last month's week is at the beginning, and it makes it hard to visualize where the new month starts (and ends). A border-type line going all the way around each month would be great, especially if it could alternate colors every other month for us visual people. Or instead, an option to have entire months tin... Show more

Nice idea - I'll see what I can do! UPDATE: I've updated to v3.0.14 which can now colour dates on the previous/next months in the Month view, and optionally completely hide events and date numbers for those dates. You should already see the new option in the "Look" tab, and please let me know if that works well for you.

This extension isn't doing anything for me. every time i click it it just takes me to the chrome store as if I never installed it (but it is). Do I have to actually purchase?

Replier's profile picture
Neil Gerstenberg Developer Mar 6, 2026

You don't have to purchase, it's completely free. If you can send me screenshots showing what's going wrong to info at gcaltools dot com I should be able to help you fix it. Maybe there's another extension causing issues, or a browser setting preventing it from running correctly.

I watched the video but don't have the options shown in there. I don't have options to display on hover and the other things in the video. Expand The Month Grid, Highlight & Toggle Busy/Free, Show More All Day Events In Week/Day Views, Hide Invites On Shared Calendars, Hide Primary RSVPs for Secondary Calendar Events etc

Some of the options are only available when you have connected your Google account (top-left in the pop-up, "Connect"). Also there are two "Tabs" LOOK" and "FEEL" at the top of the pop-up, did you check both tabs? If that doesn't help please send me some screenshots showing the problem to info at gcaltools dot com.

Thank you for adding the option to make tasks colored again!! I hated the new update and it led me to easily miss tasks because they blended in with the background. HOWEVER, is it possible to make the tasks go back to grayed out/not colored after they checked off? This is how Google calendar worked before the update, but now the task remains bright colored even after I check it off. This makes it hard to quickly differentiate which tasks I've already finished edit - thank you sm it works !!

Please test now - it should update automatically to v3.0.13 which leaves completed Tasks as they were
