Unclear privacy and security risks - please solve all concerns

What a malicious/compromised Chrome extension can do

Read/modify any page it runs on → capture what you type (prompts, emails, passwords you type), rewrite forms (e.g., bank transfer details), inject ads/cryptominer.

Intercept network requests (with webRequest) → exfiltrate data, redirect you to look-alike sites, tamper with API calls.

Steal sessions → read page content and act as you on sites you’re logged into; with cookies permission, harvest cookies for full account takeover.

Use powerful device APIs (if granted): microphone, clipboard, downloads, screenshots, file system (via file picker), notifications.

Persistently track you across sites using storage + fingerprinting—even in “privacy” modes if allowed.

Supply-chain risk: a good extension can turn bad after an auto-update or a developer account sale.

Beyond the browser: if it requests Native Messaging, it can talk to a local app—potentially executing system actions.

Bought it acitvate it but it still stays an Free access

Hi,

I recently purchased the ChatGPT Sidebar extension from https://chatgptchromeextension.com
, but the extension still shows “Free Access” even after payment.

I’ve already tried the following steps:

Restarted Chrome and reloaded the extension

Disabled and re-enabled the extension in chrome://extensions

Made sure I’m logged into the same Google/Chrome profile I used for the purchase

Logged into my ChatGPT account

Despite all this, it still doesn’t recognize my paid license. But shows it when I go on Options. I also can not see the menu
Could you please verify my purchase and help activate the full version?

Icon size issue

When your Chrome extention "ChatGPT Sidebar" is active, my icons on my site "books.zoho.com" is all resized bigger.I can reproduce the issue easly

canvas and temp chat wont work in sidebar

If i try and open canvas or do a temp chat, it opens in my main browser and in the sidebar says "redirecting to login." I dont think it used to do that. I would like to use these features in the sidebar as well.

Hi, please i want to ask you how did you create this extension, since chatgpt doesn't allow embedding its website inside sidebars? please if you got the time can you show me the code you created to make this extension work.
