It offers a workaround to have a clean bookmark bar by removing the bookmark titles. This feature is natively missing in Chromium browsers. I just tried this and it works. It just removes the 'Title/Name' on each bookmark and restores it. But it has an option to only hide the titles on the bookmark bar, and not dropdown folders or the bookmark manager. And that doesn't work.

I've been using this extension for years; does exactly what I want. Thank you!

This extension saves a copy of all bookmark titles to its internal database, it does NOT "hide" anything. It deletes the the titles when you click its icon, and, as long as you have not removed the extension, it replaces the titles from its database. Such a brute force extension. Not the least bit elegant-- I suppose that's not what the dev is going for. All this is true and thanks for taking time in pointing it out to warn other users. I simplified description - emphasized and explained the need for manual restoration before extension removal. It's awful approach, but I see no other option

Does what it says it does, but it would be nice if it only hid items on the bookmarks bar instead of all sub folders too.

i thought it about bookmark bar only but it hide everything even the sub folders

Difficult to find a true replacement for the Firefox version of Roomy Bookmarks since the chrome version isn't very good. This extension, however, works great!
