Pretty perfect for exactly what I was looking for with no additional. superfluous functionality. There's _something odd_ about making the lock stick, but once it does, the feature works perfectly.

Hi, Barnette Tax Service. Could it be that you're closing the tab before interacting with the page? After locking, some interaction with the page is required for it to work. So you need to, for example, click anywhere on the page after locking to actually prevent the tab from being closed. This is how Chromium (Brave) works. Please try this and if it still does not work for you I'd be happy to assist if you file an issue in https://github.com/gabrielmaldi/chrome-lock-tab/issues. Thanks!

You have to reload your tabs first, and I downloaded this to lock a tab that I already had open. Other than that it works fine though.

Hi, Theo. Chrome doesn't load the extension in tabs which were open before you installed it. It's like installing a new door lock and expecting it to prevent the thief that's already in your house from entering!

Hi, Matthias. You can right click on the extension icon and then on Options where you'll be able to configure auto-locking for the websites you want.

This extension works exactly as described. A few notes: - As the developer states, you MUST interact with the page after enabling the lock. Scrolling is NOT enough. You must click on something: a link, type in something into a search box (and then erase it if you want), etc. - After installing the plugin, some existing tabs will not lock unless you RELOAD them - this is probably because they keep background websockets open preventing the extension from doing its thing.

I guess I misunderstood the functionality of the add-on. I thought it would prevent the tab from being closed. Unfortunately, I was able to close the locked tab without any problems.
