Cool concept but doesn't seem to work

Watched your tutorial video and I can't seem to get this to work the way it is portrayed. Am I missing something? The video looked simple enough.

Does this only work with Rules?

In other words, it will not allow me to change the color of labels unless I have rules set up to route certain emails to a label? I was hoping I could actually change the color of labels I use to organize projects on the fly.

Extension installed but no different than the default

What am I doing wrong? The extension is installed and I have added colors but when I attempt to change the color of the label only the default colors are listed.
