perfect! can you add feature to change icon to "+" (as new tab), because in vertical tab mode is very painfull when I no have new tab button near address bar, and your plugin is perfect works for this case, but Icon now looka as logo, not functional key

This extension works very well, however it seems that the default key bindings, seem to not be set upon installation. So I give it 4 stars for the time being, if this can be fixed the extension would definitely have 5 stars. Not sure if this is a change within Chrome causing this, or if it is a confliction with another extension i had installed. The only extension to do it properly!

This was about the 8th extension I tried that were supposed to do this, but all of the others scrolled my tab list all the way to the bottom (vertical) when opening a new tab. This was the only one that simply opened the tab and left the scrollbar alone! Kudos to that! To anyone else reading this that wants this functionality on the standard Ctrl+T, while extensions cannot automatically override basic shortcuts, end users can by going to chrome://extensions/shortcuts . Yes! Finally a new tab extension that allows the keyboard shortcut to open next to current tab, while allowing the tab to remain in last position when the + button is clicked! Most intuitive option I've found. Thank you!

Love it, works as intended. It's a shame that it isn't a built-in feature on Chrome.
