Simple, effective! (Minor bug in options input easily worked around). If you use something other than the standard Mastodon client, it adapts. Enter "Elk.zone" as a server in the options and share by way of that great alpha client. https://elk.zone

I've been using this for about a week now. It works great. Makes up for those sites that don't yet have a Mastodon share button.

Edit (after more than two years): Still five stars. I use it constantly

Works great! Copy text on the page you want to share, click on the extension (which brings up a window with the title and link of the page already populated), paste the text. Done!
