It works but is not efficient at all. Copy the text into the box is something i can do online via a website. I need to highlight text within a word document or web page and it show me the word count, I. need fast and give me the information I need now.

it should be designed for webpages. user need to select text and past it in extension popup. its not the way to work

Pretty cool, but doesn't count the text on Chatgpt/Claude/etc. I would totally need this !

Great but found a weird bug: it doesn't count the French word "à". For example, "Il pense à elle" counts 3 words (characters count is ok tough).
