gcloud bigtable instances update - modify an existing Bigtable instance
SYNOPSIS
gcloud bigtable instances update INSTANCE [ --display-name = DISPLAY_NAME ] [ --edition = EDITION ] [ GCLOUD_WIDE_FLAG ]
DESCRIPTION
Modify an existing Bigtable instance.
EXAMPLES
To update the display name for an instance, run:
 gcloud  
bigtable  
instances  
update  
my-instance-id  
 --display-name 
 = 
 "Updated Instance Name" 
 

To update the edition for an instance to ENTERPRISE_PLUS, run:

 gcloud  
bigtable  
instances  
update  
my-instance-id  
 --edition 
 = 
ENTERPRISE_PLUS 
POSITIONAL ARGUMENTS
Instance resource - The instance to update. This represents a Cloud resource. (NOTE) Some attributes are not given arguments in this group but can be set in other ways.

To set the project attribute:

  • provide the argument instance on the command line with a fully specified name;
  • provide the argument --project on the command line;
  • set the property core/project .

This must be specified.

INSTANCE
ID of the instance or fully qualified identifier for the instance.

To set the instance attribute:

  • provide the argument instance on the command line.
FLAGS
--display-name = DISPLAY_NAME
Friendly name of the instance.
--edition = EDITION
The edition of the instance. EDITION must be one of: ENTERPRISE , ENTERPRISE_PLUS .
GCLOUD WIDE FLAGS
These flags are available to all commands: --access-token-file , --account , --billing-project , --configuration , --flags-file , --flatten , --format , --help , --impersonate-service-account , --log-http , --project , --quiet , --trace-token , --user-output-enabled , --verbosity .
