ee.Geometry.Rectangle.dissolve

  • The dissolve method returns the union of a geometry, leaving single geometries untouched and unioning multi geometries.

  • The dissolve method takes optional maxError and proj arguments to control reprojection and the coordinate system for the union operation.

  • The method can be used with ee.Geometry.Rectangle objects in both JavaScript and Python.

Returns the union of the geometry. This leaves single geometries untouched, and unions multi geometries.
Usage Returns
Rectangle. dissolve ( maxError , proj ) Geometry
Argument Type Details
this: geometry
Geometry The geometry to union.
maxError
ErrorMargin, default: null The maximum amount of error tolerated when performing any necessary reprojection.
proj
Projection, default: null If specified, the union will be performed in this projection. Otherwise it will be performed in a spherical coordinate system.
