For users on Pixel phones, Wi-Fi Auto Connect+ helps you stay connected in select highly congested indoor venues, like certain airports, malls and stores, by automatically putting you on high-quality Wi-Fi networks where available. When connected, you'll see "W+" in your network settings and at the top of your screen.
When you're using Wi-Fi Auto Connect+, your internet traffic is encrypted and private - of all the major carriers that provide premium Wi-Fi, we're the only one to automatically secure it with an encrypted connection. , There are no extra charges, and data used when connected will not count towards your monthly data usage.

Who is eligible for Wi-Fi Auto Connect+?
To get connected automatically to premium Wi-Fi, you need the latest version of Android on a Pixel 5a or newer Pixel phone, and your W+ toggle needs to be turned on. Wi-Fi Auto Connect+ is available only in the US for eligible Pixel phones.
How does Wi-Fi Auto Connect+ work?
When you’re in range of a premium Wi-Fi network, your Pixel device verifies the network’s quality. If the network is high quality, Google Fi may automatically connect to it and create a fully encrypted private connection.
