If you run a one-person business using your personal Gmail address (ends in @gmail.com), you can sign up for a Google Workspace Business edition using that address. With a Gmail-based Business subscription, you can access productivity features and manage your account in the Google Admin console or Google Play, depending on how you signed up.
What features do I get?
With your Gmail address, you can sign up on the web for a Business Starter, Business Standard, or Business Plus subscription. If you use Gmail on Android, you might receive a notification allowing you to sign up for Business Starter from Gmail.

If you sign up from the web: Use your Admin console
If you sign up for a Gmail-based Business subscription from the web, you can perform the following tasks in your Admin console:
- Manage your payment plan & renewal
- Change which payment method to use
- Download or print invoices or transactions
- Switch your edition to Business Starter , Business Standard , or Business Plus
- Verify your domain to unlock features (for Gmail accounts)
If you sign up from Android: Manage your account
If you sign up from Gmail on Android, you manage billing and payments in Google Play. For example, go to Google Play to add, remove, or edit your Google Play payment methods .
You manage other, non-billing-related account settings in the Admin console, which you can access on the web at admin.google.com. For example, go to the Admin console to Add your logo to Google Workspace .
