As an admin, you can manage how Gemini Business and Enterprise accesses your organization's data in Google Workspace.
Gemini Enterprise empowers teams to discover, create, share, and run AI agents all in one secure platform.
Gemini Business and Enterprise can connect to Workspace and read data in services like Gmail, Drive, and Google Calendar. You can decide if Gemini Business and Enterprise is able to access this data.
External Sharing
The ability to share output from Gemini Business or Gemini Enterprise Starter is determined by your Drive external sharing settings. If external sharing is disabled, then users will be unable to share responses from Gemini Business or Gemini Enterprise Starter outside of their domain. For details, see Manage external sharing for your organization .
Note:Currently, this logic does not apply to Gemini Enterprise Frontline, Standard and Plus usage.
Allow Gemini Business and Enterprise access to Workspace apps
By default, if Google Cloud services sharing is on, then Gemini Business and Enterprise have access to Workspace apps.
- Go to Menu Apps > Additional Google services > Google Cloud Platform .
Requires having the Service Settings administrator privilege .
- Click Gemini Business and Enterprise Settings
> check or uncheck Allow access to Workspace apps.

Legal terms considerations
The GCP Terms of Service apply to Gemini Enterprise Frontline, Standard and Plus editions.
The Gemini Business Additional Terms of Service apply to Gemini Business and Gemini Enterprise Starter editions.
Specific to Workspace customers, the usage of Gemini Enterprise Frontline, Gemini Enterprise Standard, Gemini Enterprise Plus, Gemini Business and Gemini Enterprise Starter are consistent in that:
- You own your data, not Google
- Your data—including prompts, outputs, and training—isn’t used to train Google models or models for any other customer
- Google never sells customer data to third parties
- Google doesn’t use customer data for advertising
