If you find that you or your organization no longer needs some of the features and services in Google Voice, you can downgrade your subscription.
Downgrade from Voice Premier
You can downgrade from Google Voice Premier to Google Voice Standard. If you want to downgrade from Voice Premier to Google Voice Starter, you need to cancel your Voice Premier subscription.
If you downgrade from Voice Premier, you lose these features and services:
- International office locations—You can't assign phone numbers outside of the U.S.
- BigQuery exports—You can't export Voice activity to BigQuery.
- Automatic call recording—You can no longer automatically record your organization's inbound and outbound calls.
To downgrade from Voice Premier to Voice Standard:
- Sign in with an administrator account to the Google Admin console.
If you aren’t using an administrator account, you can’t access the Admin console.

Go to Menu
Billing > Buy or upgrade .
Requires having the Billing Management administrator privilege .
- On the side, click Google Voice.
- For Google Voice Standard, click Switch.
Downgrade from Voice Standard
If you have 10 users or less, you can downgrade from Voice Standard to Voice Starter.
- Make a list of each user and their assigned phone number.
- Cancel your current Voice subscription

After you cancel your subscription, complete the following steps within 60 days or you lose your phone numbers. - Add the Voice Starter subscription .
- Reassign Voice licenses to your users .
- Reassign Voice numbers to users . Use your list to assign the correct number to each user.
Downgrade from Voice Starter standalone
You can downgrade your Google Voice Starter standalone (not add-on) subscription to a free Voice account. For more information, go to Downgrades from Voice Starter standalone .
