New settings for anchor ads and side rail ads

We’ve heard feedback that you want more flexibility and control over the overlay ad formats in Auto ads. That’s why we’re launching two new settings that let you choose where you want anchor ads and side rail ads to appear on your pages.

Anchor ad positions

For anchor ads, you can choose from these ad positions:

• Top or bottom

  

• Top only

  

• Bottom only

  

Side rail ad positions

For side rail ads, you can choose from the these ad positions:

• Left and right

  

• Left only

  

• Right only

  

How to select ad positions

To select the ad positions for your anchor ads and side rail ads:

1. Sign in to your AdSense account.
2. Click Ads.
3. In the table of all your sites, click Editnext to your site.
4. Click Overlay formatsin your Auto ads settings.
5. Click Advanced settingsto expand the panel.
6. Select your anchor ad position.
7. Select your side rail ad position.
8. Click Apply to site.
