Set up My Agile Privacy to obtain user consent

To capture valuable insights while protecting user privacy, you need to collect consent from your website users. We recommend you use a Consent Management Platform (CMP) or work with your Content Management System (CMS) to collect consent and send it to Google.

Step 1 of 3: Set up a consent banner

1. In the "Admin" panel of your Wordpress site, navigate to Plugins > Add New.
2. In the search field, search for "MyAgilePrivacy".
3. Select Install Nowand then Activate.
4. Visit My Agile Privacy to purchase a license that suits your needs.
5. After you have your license key, return to your WordPress Admin panel.
6. Navigate to My Agile Privacy > License.
7. Enter the license code received via email and select Update Settings.
8. Complete the initial setup by configuring your identity and policy settings.

Step 2 of 3: Find the Consent Mode settings

1. Go to the Admin panel of your WordPress site.
2. Navigate to My Agile Privacy > Consent.
3. Locate the dedicated box for Consent Mode v2.

Step 3 of 3: Set up consent mode

Set up using Google Tag Manager

1. Select Google Tag Managerfrom the implementation type field and Save.
2. In your Google Tag Manager account:
   1. Choose New Tag > Tag configuration > Discover more tag types in the Community Template Gallery.
   2. Search for and select "MyAgilePrivacy CMP".
   3. Configure the tag:
      1. Consider enabling the URL passthrough option to maintain user origin data
      2. Set the default states for each parameter. It's recommended to use "denied".
      3. Leave the "Region" field blank to apply settings globally.
   4. Add an activator:
      1. Set up an activator for the tag.
      2. Select All Pagesto ensure the tag is global on the site.
   5. Savethe tag.

Set up using another platform or directly from your website’s code

1. Select via My Agile Privacyfrom the "implementation type" field.
2. There will be 4 parameters listed:
   • analytics_storage
   • ad_storage
   • ad_user_data
   • ad_personalization
3. The default setting for each parameter is "denied". This is recommended for maximum compliance.
4. Saveyour settings.
