Businesses with a claimed and verified Business Profile can add a WhatsApp or text messaging option to their contact info. By giving customers a direct way to contact your business via text or WhatsApp, you can answer their questions in real time and encourage them to visit your business.
Add or edit your Chat options
Important:Chat options are currently available for select regions and might not be available for your Business Profile.
- Go to your Business Profile .
- Click Edit profile
Contact.
- Next to “Chat,” select Edit
.
- In the "Chat" drop down, click the Down arrow
.
- Select either WhatsApp or Text message.
- In the "URL" or "Phone number" field, add your WhatsApp click to chat URL or a phone number that can receive text messages. Learn more about WhatsApp URL guidelines .
- Click Save.
Tips:
- If you add both options, only the text message option will be shown to customers.
- Different Business Profiles can use the same WhatsApp link.
