When customers visit your Business Profile on the Google Maps app, they can post a photo update. Photo updates from customers can highlight things like changes to your business hours, seasonal menus, and new products or services.
Understand customer photo updates
A photo update includes one or more photos, with or without text. Customers can write only one review for your business, but they can post multiple photo updates.
Tip:You can't stop customers from posting photo updates, but you can report inappropriate photos. Learn how to report inappropriate photos or videos on your Business Profile .
Find photo updates by customers
Important:You can find photo updates only on the Google Maps app.
- On your mobile device, open the Google Maps app
.
- At the bottom right, tap Business.
- Tap See Business Profile Updates By visitors.
Tips:
- You can also find photos from photo updates in the “Photos” tab on all platforms and devices.
- You can add your own updates in the “By Owner” section of the “Updates” tab. Learn how to create and manage posts for your Business Profile .
Reply to a customer’s photo update
Important:You can reply to photo updates only on the Google Maps app.
- On your mobile device, open the Google Maps app
.
- At the bottom right, tap Business.
- Tap See Business Profile Updates By visitors.
- Find the photo update you want to reply to.
- Tap Reply.
Report an inappropriate customer photo update
Important:You can report photo updates only on the Google Maps app.
If you find a photo update that violates Google policies, you can report it for removal. Learn more about Google's content policies .
- On your mobile device, open the Google Maps app
.
- At the bottom right, tap Business.
- Tap See Business Profile Updates By visitors.
- Find the photo update you want to flag.
- Tap More
Report.
- Select the type of violation you want to report.
- Example:“Spam” or “Profanity”
- Tap Submit.
