You can use basic Google Vids features with your Google Account. To use Gemini features in Vids, you can check your account type in the table below.
For work or school accounts, your administrator controls access to Google Vids. If you’re an administrator, learn how to manage access to Google Vids .

Important:
- For work or school accounts, your admin controls access to Google Vids and can turn off access to generative AI features.
- Make sure you sign in with the correct Google Account that can access the feature.
- If your account doesn’t have access to a Google Vids feature, the associated option won’t display in the “Getting started” screen.

* For a limited time, at least through May 31st, 2026, Business Starter, Enterprise Starter, Google Workspace for Nonprofits, and users over 18 with Education Plus accounts, and accounts with Education Teaching and Learning add-on can access generative AI features in Vids.
**Personal Google accounts, Google AI Plus, and Google Workspace Individual accounts can have 50 credits per month. The limit resets at 12:00 AM PT on the first day of each month. This usage limit can't be shared with other people, and it doesn't roll over to the next month. The limits and exact features that will continue to be available are subject to change.
***Workspace customers get promotional access to higher music generation limits in Vids. This access allows users to experiment with this feature. Per-user limits may apply afterwards. We can provide more info before we implement the updates.
