To transfer your Google Fi number to a new carrier, you need your account number and PIN. Your information is case-sensitive.
Get your account number & transfer PIN
- On your device, open the Google Fi app.
- Or, go to the Google Fi website .
- Sign in to your account.
- From the “Account” tab, select Manage plan.
- Scroll and select Leave Google Fi.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Select Transfer your number to another carrier.
- After you confirm, a "Cancellation pending" banner appears.
- To find your account number and transfer PIN, under the banner, select Get Transfer Info.
Tips:
- Do not pause your Google Fi service during a number transfer, or the port-out can fail.
- When your new carrier asks for your name and address, use the information on your Google Fi account.
- If you’re a group member on an iPhone, you can cancel service through the Google Fi website . Group owners can use the app or website.
- If your transfer PIN is unused, it expires after 14 days. If the transfer takes too long, you need to retry the steps above to regenerate the PIN.
- Your Google Fi service continues until your new carrier activates your number.
After the transfer is complete and your account officially closes, you can still sign in to find past Google Fi bills.
