If you’re a current Google Fi Wireless user, you do not need to activate the 2-year data offer for your Galaxy Watch LTE. With any plan, your wearables already include data, texting, and calling. To use this benefit, refer to Use your Google Pixel or Samsung Galaxy watches with Google Fi .
Eligibility
- From July 9, 2025 onwards, the following devices are eligible if you purchased them from Best Buy in the US, excluding Alaska and US territories:
- Samsung Galaxy Watch8 Series LTE
- Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) LTE
Important:Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) LTE devices are supported. Service activation will be available by August 14th.
- To activate the offer, you must be 18 years or older, and in the US, excluding Alaska and US territories.
- To be eligible for this offer, you need to activate it by September 30, 2026.
What’s included
- Two years of data and texting powered by Google Fi Wireless.
- High-speed data:
- Get up to 500 MB of data per month. After you reach this data limit, speed slows to 256 kbps.
- Data usage is capped at 1 GB per month. Roaming outside the US isn’t supported.

- Texting:
- Texting syncs your watch and phone with the use of Samsung Messages or Google Messages over the internet. This allows your watch to send and receive texts using your current phone number and phone’s carrier.
- To send and receive texts on your watch, you need to have texting service from your primary carrier on your phone. Make sure your phone is on and connected to the internet.
- When your watch is outside the Bluetooth range of your paired phone, it can’t make or receive calls.
Activate your offer
- Log in to your Google Account on your companion phone that you pair with your watch, in case you haven’t done so already.
- Download the Galaxy Wearable app from the Google Play Store .
- Pair your watch to your phone.
- In the setup flow, on the “Set up a mobile plan” step, you need to:
- To send device-related information to the mobile network operator, tap Next.
- On the step that says, “Your watch comes with 2 years of data and texting:”
- Review the terms.
- Select an email address to share with Google Fi.
- Activate the service.
- Once you set up your plan, you’ll find a confirmation message on your watch that says “Google plan set up successfully.”
- You’ll receive a redemption confirmation email from Google Fi Wireless. This includes your service expiration date.
After the setup flow, you can still activate service.
- In the Galaxy Wearable app, tap Watch settings Mobile plans.
- Continue from step 4 “Set up a mobile plan” above.
Tip:After 2 years of service, your watch’s data service will end. To get calling, texting, and data connectivity on your watch, you can activate service with your phone carrier, such as Google Fi Wireless .
Transferability
- You can give the benefit to another person, such as by gifting the watch.
- You can’t transfer the benefit to another device.
Troubleshooting
I can't activate service- If you can’t activate the offer, make sure you have an eligible device.
Important:Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) LTE devices are supported. Service activation will be available by August 14th.
- Update your device to the latest Android version and keep the Galaxy Wearable app up to date.
- Activate it through the Galaxy Wearable app. Tap Watch settings Mobile plans.
- If your phone has 2 SIMs, to proceed to the “Your watch comes with 2 years of data and texting” step, you may need to select one of them.
- Try again after you:
- Turn Bluetoothon and off.
- Restart your phone and your watch.
- If issues persist, contact Google Fi support
. You need:
- A valid proof of purchase, such as a receipt from Best Buy.
- Your device IMEI and EID information. To retrieve this information, check the steps here .
- Confirm that your device is eligible.
- Make sure you’re logged in to your Google Account on your companion phone.
- Update your device to the latest Android version and keep the Galaxy Wearable app up to date.
- Make sure to remove all existing eSIMs.
- To perform a factory reset of the watch
:
- Go to the Galaxy Wearable app.
- Tap Watch settings Mobile plans.
- Try again.
- If issues persist, contact Google Fi support
. You need:
- A valid proof of purchase, such as a receipt from Best Buy.
- Your device IMEI and EID information. To retrieve this information, check the steps here .
- Make sure that you’re in an area that has Google Fi coverage. For more info, review our coverage map .
- Restart both your watch and phone.
- In your watch’s settings, you can check which cellular provider your watch uses. It should indicate either “Google” or “Google Fi.”
- When you’re out of Bluetooth range of your phone, activate your watch’s cellular connectivity and continue to access the internet.
- If issues persist, contact Google Fi support .
- To remove any eSIM profile not called “Google” from your watch:
- Go to Watch settings Mobile plans.
- Under “Mobile plans,” turn off your existing plan.
- Tap Remove plan.
Tip:If you pay separately, make sure to deactivate your other carrier service.
- Go to the Galaxy Wearable app.
- Tap Watch settings Mobile plans.
- To activate your service, follow the instructions outlined above .
