Edit videos & build scenes in Flow

You can edit the video clips you upload or create in Flow. You can also build one scene per project out of a sequence of video clips in Flow’s Scenebuilder.

Edit your video clips in Flow

When you edit a video in Flow, you don’t lose the original video. In the History panel, you can find all previous versions of the video and the prompts you used to generate them.

Extend an existing clip

If you need a scene to be longer, you can create more footage and add it to the end of your original clip.

  1. On your device, go to Flow .
  2. In an existing project, click the video clip you want to extend.
  3. At the bottom, click Extend.
  4. In the prompt box, describe how the action should continue.
  5. Click Generate.

Tip:You can’t apply other edit modes such as insert, remove, and camera to extended video clips.

Insert an object

  1. On your device, go to Flow .
  2. In an existing project, click the video clip you want to edit.
  3. At the bottom, click Insert.
  4. In the prompt box, describe the object you want to insert.
    • To specify where the object should appear, click and drag a box on the image.
  5. Click Generate.

Remove an object

  1. On your device, go to Flow .
  2. In an existing project, click the video clip you want to edit.
  3. At the bottom, click Remove.
  4. Click and drag a box around the object you want to remove from the video.
  5. Click Generate.

Change a clip's camera motion or position

You can change the camera motion or position of a clip.

  1. On your device, go to Flow .
  2. In an existing project, click the video clip you want to edit.
  3. At the bottom, click Camera.
    • To change your camera motion, click Camera motion.
    • To change your camera position, click Camera position.
  4. Select an option you want.
  5. Click Generate.

Save videos & frames to your project

Save past videos

If you want to add a previous version of an edited video to Scenebuilder, save that version to your project.

  1. On your device, go to Flow .
  2. In an existing project, click the video.
  3. On the right, in the "History" panel, hover over the version you want.
  4. Click Save to Project.

Save video frames as images

To use a frame as an ingredient, start frame, or end frame for future generations, save it to your project.

  1. On your device, go to Flow .
  2. In an existing project, click the video.
  3. Pause on a frame.
  4. Right-click on the frame.
  5. Click Save frame as image.
  6. Use this saved frame as an ingredient, start frame, or end frame for future generations.

Build your scene in Flow

Important:The Scenebuilder timeline currently resets when you leave your project. However, all of your individual clips are always saved in the project's clip view.

You can use Flow’s Scenebuilder to:

  • Arrange multiple clips in a sequence.
  • Rearrange the order of your clips.
  • Trim the beginning and end of each clip with the handles.
  • Preview the whole sequence.

Add video clips to a scene in Flow

You can create a sequence of clips in Scenebuilder.

  1. On your device, go to Flow .
  2. Click an existing project.
  3. Hover over the clip you want to add to your sequence.
  4. Click Moreand then Add to Scene.

Rearrange your clips in Scenebuilder

  1. On your device, go to Flow .
  2. Click an existing project.
  3. At the top, click Scenebuilder.
  4. At the bottom right, click Arrange.
  5. Drag your clips in the order you want.
  6. Click Done.
