You can set a delivery time that works for your schedule. Gemini will prepare your content in the background so it’s ready by the scheduled time.
What you need
To schedule actions in Gemini Apps, you must:
- Sign in to Gemini Apps with one of the following accounts:
- A personal Google Account with a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription. Learn how to upgrade .
- A work or school Google Account with access to a qualifying edition of Google Workspace .
- Learn how to sign in to Gemini Apps .
- Have Keep Activity on.This feature isn't available when this setting is off.
Schedule an action
- Go to gemini.google.com .
- In the text box at the bottom, enter your prompt. Get ideas for how to use scheduled actions

- Tip:In your prompt, provide details about when and how often you want to schedule the action.
- Click Submit
. Gemini will reply with a summary of your scheduled action.
- Gemini will prepare your content within the hour leading up to your delivery time to help ensure you get the latest information.
- Responses for scheduled actions are prepared in advance to guarantee timely delivery. As a result, rapidly changing data, like stock prices, won’t be the latest when you receive them. Scheduled actions work best for daily summaries and wrap-ups.

Scheduled action notifications
When each response is ready, Gemini will notify you:
- In the Gemini web app:In the menu under “Chats,” the chat with your scheduled action is marked as unread.
- In the Gemini mobile app:You’ll get a notification on your mobile device. The notification may appear when your device is locked depending on your settings.
- Tip:You can turn notifications for Gemini Apps on or off in your device’s app notification settings.
Pause or resume a scheduled action
You can pause an action without deleting the scheduled action. If you pause an action, Gemini won’t run your prompt until you resume the action.

Edit or delete scheduled action
In the chat with the scheduled action, you can ask Gemini to make changes to the action. These changes will be saved for future occurrences of the action.

Gemini Apps may use your location to provide more relevant responses to your prompts. For example, to respond to prompts about the weather, Gemini Apps need to know your location.
If you schedule an action that’s related to your location, Gemini Apps will use the location where you created the action for all future responses. To schedule an action for a different location, you can either create a new scheduled action or update your existing action to specify a location.
