Within the “Billing” section of your account, you can view and update your card information and payer details.
Switch between automatic and manual payments
Depending on the country of your billing address, you can switch between automatic and manual payments at any time:
- Automatic payments: Your automatic payment will happen on the first day of each month, and whenever your account reaches a payment threshold.
- Manual payments: You'll need to manually make payments before your ads can run.
How to change your payment method
- Go to Settings
within the Billingmenu
.
- Open the “How you pay” section, then select Alternative payment optionsto view other options available to you.
- Select Switch to manualor Switch to automaticand follow the steps in the pop-up window to confirm the change.
How to update your card’s expiration date or nickname
To update your card's expiration date or nickname (without changing the account number):
- Go to Settings
within the Billingmenu
.
- Find the "Payment methods" section and follow instructions in that section to make an update.
Note: If your credit card or bank account number changes, you'll need to add it as a new payment method and remove the old one.
Add or remove payment methods
To add a new payment method:
- Go to Settings
within the Billingmenu
.
- Open the "Payment methods" section and select Manage Payment methods.
- You'll land on the page where you can follow the instructions to add a new payment method.
To remove a payment method:
- Go to Settings
within the Billingmenu
.
- Open the “Payment methods” section and select Manage Payment methods.
- You'll land on the page where you can view all the payment methods you’ve added.
- Select Removenext to the payment method you want to delete.
Note: You may need to add a new payment method before you can remove one.
Update your payer details
To edit your payer details:
- Go to Settings
within the Billingmenu
.
- Find the "Payer details" section.
- Select any field that has a pencil icon, and enter your updated information.
- Select Save.
Note: To change permissions related to the payments profile, visit the Google Payments Center and select Settings. Alternatively, open the “Payments users” section under “Settings” and make updates there. This is only available to Google Ads users with Admin or Billing access to the account. Only a Payments profile Admin can delete Payments users.
