You can have Gmail check the spelling and grammar of your emails as you write.
- On your computer, open Gmail .
- Click Settings
See all settings.
- At the top, click General.
- Change your settings for these tools:
- Grammar
- Spelling
- Autocorrect
Tip: A dashed line will temporarily appear to show in blue for grammar or in red for spelling suggestions. To undo a change, click the underlined word Undo.

Use Autocorrect with a screen reader
You can still use Autocorrect with a screen reader. To undo a change, use your arrow keys to find the underlined word, press Tab
