Use the same domain as the online store URL provided in Merchant Center for your product page

Reasons why the issue is happening

This error indicates that you've included a landing page link (URL) in your product data that doesn't match the domain of the URL registered in your Merchant Center account.

There are a few common reasons why you might see this error:

  • You haven't registered a URL in your account: If you're including links to your website (URLs) in your product data, you need to verify and claim the website in Merchant Center first.
  • The registered URL doesn’t match the links in your product data: The links that you include in your feed must match the domain of the website that is registered in your Merchant Center account. For example, to submit a file with URL http://www.example.com/item1.html , you would need to register the parent website’s domain ( http://www.example.com/ ) in your account.

    Note: Images that aren’t hosted on your registered domain can be included using the image link [image_link] attribute.

How to fix the issue

Make sure that the domain used in the landing page URL in your product data matches the domain registered at the account level.

Fix products one by one directly in Merchant Center

Step 1Go to Productsin Merchant Center, then select the Needs attentiontab.

Step 2Use the filtericonabove the table to find all products affected by your issue.

Step 3Click on the title of the product you want to fix, then click Edit product.

Step 4Update the landing page URL so that it matches the registered domain in your Merchant Center account.

Step 5Select Save.

Fix multiple products at once

Step 1Go to Productsin Merchant Center, then select the Needs attentiontab.

Step 2Use the filtericonabove the table to find all products affected by your issue.

Step 3Select the Downloadiconto download a list (.csv) of all affected products for all issues or this particular issue.

Step 4Cross reference the downloaded list with your uploaded product data, and make sure that the affected products have are linking to a landing page that matches the registered domain in your Merchant Center account (using the link [link] attribute).

Step 5Reupload your corrected product data to Merchant Center using your chosen upload method.


Next steps

After making the requested changes, check that you’ve fixed the issue by making sure the issue is no longer listed on the “ Needs attention ” page.

Keep in mind: Your change may take 24–72 hours to reflect on the “ Needs attention ” page.
