If you choose to discontinue Google Voice, you can delete your number. You can also port your number out of Google Voice or transfer your number to a different Google Voice account. Learn how to port

Important:
- This feature operates differently based on the type of account you have. Learn more about Google Voice account types .
- If you have a Voice Starter standalone plan, you can delete numbers in the Google Admin console. Learn how to unassign or reassign a Voice number .
- You can only use credits for long-distance and international calls and texts.
- If you have a Voice Starter subscription, you can’t purchase credits. Charges for long-distance and international paid calls and texts will appear on your monthly invoice.
To make paid calls without a Google Voice subscription plan, buy credit from Google Voice.
Delete your Google Voice number
Important:After you delete your Google Voice number, you can only reclaim it within 90 days.
- On your computer, open Google Voice .
- Sign in with the Google Account you used to register your number.
- At the top right, click Settings.
- On the left, click Account.
- Under “Google Voice number,” find the number you want to delete.
- Click Delete

Reclaim your Google Voice number
- On your computer, open Google Voice .
- Sign in with the Google Account you used to delete your number.
- At the top right, click Settings.
- On the left, click Account.
- When you get the message “You don’t have a Google Voice number,” click Get a number.
- Find the number you want to reclaim.
- Click Reclaim.
- To verify your number, follow the on-screen instructions.
