Osmar Chromiec 1978

Oscar Niemeyer Museum
Curitiba, Brazil

Chromiec began his production in the 1970's with works related to Op Art, and then dedicated himself to Geometric Abstractionism. Although he has developed in several phases, geometry had a fundamental presence in all of them, sometimes monochromatic, sometimes colored, until it resulted in geometrized and colored figures. The works Geodesy I (1971) and untitled (1978) are exemplars of originality at the time, within the production of Paraná.
