Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji is a series of 46 prints depicting various features of Mount Fuji , the highest mountain in Japan . In this print, indigo blue, a very popular color at the time, was used for the main outlines to produce a sharp effect. The giant wave with its crest reaching over to Mount Fuji lends the work great depth and creates a sense of drama.
