Error in calculation

I used the "Clear ALL" button to start afresh. In Cells A1:B4, I added the following:-
12.47 =sum(A1:A4)
89.99
11.69
15.00

The result in cell B1 was 129.149999999998. Changing the value in Cell A1 to 12.46 gives a result in B1 of 129.14.

I tried to copy the value of B1, but even using "Paste Values" the formula was always pasted.

I also note that when copying and pasting a formula from one cell to another does not change the relative cell references. So If I paste the formula in Cell B1 to F1, it still sums A1:A4. This behaviour would normally require $ signs in the cell reference to indicate that they were to be preserved.

Finally - Thanks for adding Sterling to the Number format.

Chrome is V90.0.4430.85 on Windows 7.
