Why risk the adware model?

Callum, I've used your extension for years and I am sad to stop and ask all devs in our team to remove it. Why risk the good karma and following you've built over the years? I am all for devs monetising on their work and I would happily donate or pay for multiple seats for a commercial version with more features e.g. editing/creating JSON resources directly from the browser. Injecting adware is not acceptable, sorry.

Malware - injects ads

It showed me a pop-up on a random site when I was trying to make a purchase. This is not cool, this is intrusion and abuse of trust - the extension should format JSON, not monitor every website I visit and show pop-ups when I'm trying to to buy something.

Ad injection

I have had to uninstall this since it is now injecting ads into pages. Not sure if you are aware.

Trying to load bizarre checkout popup script

Extension has either been compromised or sold out to inject some garbage GiveFreely extension code. Among other things, it will:

Try to see if you're on a google search
`(x.logger.debug("This is a google search result page.")`

Perform geoip lookup
`fetch("https://geoip.maxmind.com/geoip/v2.1/country/me", K)`

And load other analytics/tracking code.

Even if this was truly benign and altruistic, I installed a json formatter extension and trusted it to do only that. This is a violation of user expectations.

Error in console

I'm getting the following error in the console for the local web app I'm developing:

Uncaught (in promise) Error: No checkout popup config found
at core.js:297:55043
at async Y1 (core.js:297:54962)
```

I tracked this to JSON Formatter, disabled the extension and the error is gone.

I did NOT give permission for developer applications or software

my 13 year old son alllowed this without my knowledge I would like all malware, spyware, developed apps, and software removed I am not a tech person and do not like not having total control of my device I DID NOT give my permission for such donwloads
