How to activate?

Hi,I installed it, because what it promises to do regarding pagination is precisely what I need. But I cannot activate it. Left clicking the extension icon only gives various screen options, nothing else. Changing these options does nothing. Left clicking inside the text does not generate any options either. I would love to see this working, as it would make my extensive reading demands much more pleasant.
