When this extension is utilized, the zoomed image is forced to fit the same, predetermined size based on the size of the window. This means that oftentimes, the image you're zooming on is stretched or warped to fit the rectangular shape of the zoomed "canvas". If the "canvas" would match the ratio of dimensions of the native image you're zooming on, this app could be an adequate replacement to HoverZoom/Imagus.
