Keyboard remain on screen

Once you copy and paste anything then keyboard closes off or its gone and i have to open extension again to copy any letter. please if you can tell me how to make it stay or remain on screen while typing would be great help.

How do I invoke the Fench Accents virtual keyboard when using Gmail?

Hi Mais, My apologies. I've been using computers for 40 years. I've even programmed them in ASCII and PHP code....but I am completely stumped by what must be blazingly obvious to everyone else. I am in Gmail and I cannot find a way to invoke the extension in order to choose French characters for my email message. HOW do I do it? This is not well explained in the Extension page. Please consider inserting really clear instructions for those of us dummies who don't invoke extensions often. Many thanks.
