only ONE window - EVER

i have clicked 50/50 (side by side) - i get ONE window that covers half my screen.
watched video & learned i needed SMART MODE, so i tried same request in smart mode.

NO DIFFERENCE - one window only. always. Cant even hold & drag it to make duplicate - which is whjy i tried your app.
i am on a macpro laptop
