The move to Lean Library was made to bring both products together into a single, end-to-end research tool. This process included user interviews and testing, and we continue to listen closely to feedback to guide ongoing improvements. We have now recognised that some Sciwheel users want access to the reference manager on its own. In response, we are now introducing a new “Reference Manager Only” mode in the coming days, which will allow the extension to function purely as a reference manager without additional features. Regarding the right-click add to library, notes, and highlight functionality—these are areas our tech team is currently investigating, and improvements are planned. If you’d be open to sharing more about your experience, our team would greatly value that input. Hi Michael, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry the switch to the Lean Library extension wasn’t smooth for you. We’re investigating your concerns about the highlights and notes functionality to see what improvements can be made. While the mobile app will no longer be available, you can still access your Lean Library Workspace account on any browser on your mobile device to view your notes. In terms of the pop-ups, you can actually switch these off in the notification panel in the settings to prevent them appearing when an Open Access version is found. We're currently working on making the pop-ups more customisable to suit different user preferences as a priority – so you can expect a more customised experience in the near future!
