My screen isn't recording

I've done everything to ensure my chrome extension work to record. I restarted my computer, revised permissions in settings and closed all unnecessary tabs and still it's not recording. Can you advise further?

Users getting a pop-out screencastify icon in Chrome and cannot close it.

Today a Screencastify icon started appearing in the Chrome browser for some of our users. It's a floating icon (not in the tool bar) and appears in their webpage (whatever page they are on) with the 6-dot grab icon next to it. How can we remove this?

crashing

It acts like it will work, but won't record. Then it stops even letting me log in. It just keeps crashing.
