ProWritingAid fails on GDocs

I have the premium lifetime plan, and I can’t get ProWriterAid to connect to your server. I use Google Docs for the bulk of my draft writing and collaboration before moving the manuscripts to other applications for final edit and such.

It’s not the Chrome browser. This only fails for GDocs within Chrome. It works just fine on other Chrome sites, such as social media messages and GMail. It’s as if GDocs blocks access to the your server, while the rest of the Chrome platform allows access.

After further investigation, I discovered only new GDocs suffer from this affliction. Older ones in which I used ProWriterAid previously continue to work perfectly as intended. If I open that document, ProWriteAid quickly connects and allows for suggestions and corrections.

The FAQ and help links don’t help. Please tell me how to fix this or is this something you are still working on? As a retired software engineer, I recognize the difficulty in maintaining compatibility with a product that integrates into another vendor's software. The complexities and synchronization between each other's updates are difficult to put it mildly. If there is anything I can do to help, I'd be glad to offer my assistance.

Chrome Extention not working

Hello,

I have a premium lifetime plan and installed both the chrome extension and the desktop app. It works fine in Scrivener and everywhere else but does NOTHING on Google Docs (where I get most of my writing done).

It just shows up pink, but doesn't underline any mistakes in the text. Also when I hover over the reports icon, it also doesn't open the menu.

I've un-installed and reinstalled it 2 times now and everything is enabled, also found people on Reddit with similar issues and no solution.

Please tell me how to fix this/fix this bug since I really don't want to switch over to grammarly (which works like a charm on docs)

ProWritingAid extension stops working after logging in

Hi guys, I installed the Chrome extension for GoogleDocs. The first time I opened Docs it seemed to work (icon going pink). When I clicked it, it asked me to log into my PWA account (which makes sense), so I did. But after that, the extension no longer responds? It doesn't automatically highlight things like it was doing before logging in. In fact, it doesn't react / do anything when I click its various buttons (no checking, no reports, etc). Which feels to me like there's some kind of bug or setting blocking it? Have I forgotten something? After some Googling I read that for some people it worked to also have the GoogleDoc extension, but that seems to be a seperate entity? That one does work but the pop-up screen is not ideal. I prefer inline like I think the Chrome one is supposed to do? Any help would be much appreciated because I use PWA a metric ton, and being able to use it in GoogleDocs would save a lot of time.

Doesn't work on curtain websites

I am starting to notice that ProWritingAid does not work on curtain websites like YouTube and Twitch and many more websites, but Grammarly does. Infact Grammarly works on anything that has a text box in it while ProWritingAid does not! I don't mind if it does not completely work on any text box but as long as it works at all in any text box would by my final gripe about this software. I really missed that about Grammarly, and I really want it on ProWritingAid too so that I can fully switch to ProWritingAid as it is much cheaper!
