Allow changing note' URL Add a settings button when clicking the extension icon, took me very long to know that I can show note when opening sites

I am working on bringing settings button to the popup itself, but I have no plans for changing URL for a note. Our approach is -- if you want notes for a different URL, then visit the URL and copy notes there and delete the old note. By allowing editing of the URL, you run into a risk of having unreachable URLs and notes never showing up. Does that make sense. Please file an support issue at https://github.com/manugarg/pagenotes-issues to share your use case. By the way how do you like the extension so far? Your review was mostly about asks for which we've a support channel.

Just started using it. It's very helpful. Thanks! If there was a way to position it where you want it on the screen, it would be even better. I installed on Yandex as well but can't find a way to add a keyboard shortcut like in Chrome. I am using MacOS Monterey

This is particular useful on the classified / bidding portals where you can leave yourself notes for later, so you don't read the entire description and watch all the pics all over again every time. Manu, you can consider adding timestamp to the entries - it can be done easily.

Its functionality is convenient, but every update results in significant version incompatibility. When I use the old version of Chrome and it automatically updates, it brings endless troubles and bugs. There are really, really many bugs, such as inability to sync, inability to change icons, and so on. In short, it's very troublesome. Of course, it will be normal after upgrading chrome.

Hey Yu, how old is the Chrome version where you don't see smooth upgrades. It's possible some APIs have changed, but it should be pretty stable over the last couple of years of Chrome versions. Please file a bug here if it's a consistent issue: https://github.com/manugarg/pagenotes-issues

What an absolute hidden gem. Definitely worth 5 stars. Just a couple of suggestions. It would be handy to be able to change the colour of the popup. At first, it would not sync on Vivaldi. It required changing "Report Browser Brand as" from Chrome to Vivaldi in the browser network settings. Maybe that could be fixed.

Thanks for the kind words, Charlie! Regarding Vivaldi browser, the problem is extension ends up thinking it's Chrome. Except for the browser brand, it's impossible to tell between Chrome and Vivaldi. Maybe we can add an option to force non-chrome behavior. I've filed a bug to track this: https://github.com/manugarg/pagenotes-issues/issues/82

Thanks Ron! This message means that sync has failed more than twice consecutively. It could be anything. Can you please file an issue here: https://github.com/manugarg/pagenotes-issues/issues, describing your setup, and with data from 'debug info' on the options page.

hi, i have a old pagenotes.csv file and i have encrypted texted from your export. how can i decrypt it manually? i tried a AES online tool but that didnt work. please put instructions on your app description for others to find too!

If you have encrypted notes, you'll have to import them back in the extension and then decrypt them individually. Sorry, there is currently no tool or process to decrypt them outside of the extension.
