Is there an RPM package for 1.14.36.1?

Title says it all; is there an easy-to-install package for CentOS for mod-pagespeed  1.14.36.1? Looks like what's available from  https://www.modpagespeed.com/doc/download needs to be compiled from source.

While I'm at it, is there any active development still going on?

I think you need this package from the download page, you will need to convert it to RPM (there's a couple of tutotials on this):  

mod-pagespeed-apache-incubating-beta_1.14.36.1-r0_amd64.deb 

Unfortunately it looks like all work stopped on this project way back. Which is a great shame, such a good idea was tons and tons of work behind it.

I did already try that route (using 'alien' to do the conversion), but the resulting RPM generates conflicts. That's an unfortunate side-effect of Debian not being the exact same in file locations and such vs. CentOS/Rocky. So far I've not been able to resolve the conflicts (they are with 'filesystem' which is the actual basic file system module in CentOS and not something to mess with or allow the RPM to overwrite).

Agreed that it's a shame a great and very useful project like this is falling by the wayside. I understand it though, it looks like Otto is the only one writing code in the past few years, and it can't all fall on his shoulders. It was great while it lasted!

There are some downloads available with the .rpm extension. Though that is older code, BUT, I did use that and it did work all OK. I never really saw much improvement after it became an "Apache" project. It might well be worth a try to see if it gives you what you are wanting.

I think what killed it was the mainstreaming of .web(x) ... most CMS's now support it, and do a reasonable job of combining .js and .css.

The other downfall was it was horrible to set up!

Those are all 1.13.35.2 by the looks of it. That's the "old" version. I'm after  1.14.36.1.
