I've been using for years. Saved me by repairing device I hadn't been running it on and was under crippling attack. It focuses on what happens most often, malware. Anytime I'm feeling weird about a page, link, app, how device is behaving I run it plus run on regular basis now. Malwarebytes fixes issues antivirus software doesn't. I use both. Worth the money and developer is pretty cool, too.

There used to be an actual free Malwarebytes app that even included real-time protection. Now you have to pay for real-time protection, which is understandable. But if you want scheduled scans or to even have the virus database automatically stay up-to-date, you have to pay. Pretty much every single thing is now behind a pay wall. The only thing that isn't is to manually scan your phone. Oh, you'll get daily notifications, not reminders to scan, reminders to upgrade...uninstalling.

Doesn't work. Modern malware is outside the scope of what their software does. Unless you have " virus.exe" on a non hidden part of your main partition, they serve no purpose. If it's named after something seemingly official, or file less, hiding in another partition, or disguised as/ overwrote a system app, then your on your own. Probably great in 2004. 2024 it doesn't do much except pat itself on the back
