If you have Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals and want to buy Education Plus or Teaching and Learning Upgrade through a reseller, you must first transfer your existing subscription to that reseller .
You can buy subscriptions from Google, through resellers, or through a combination of Google and resellers. For example, you can buy Google Workspace directly from Google and then purchase a different subscription, such as Google Voice, through a reseller. You can also buy one subscription through a reseller and another one through a different reseller.

Buy through a reseller
You can buy subscriptions through a reseller in one of the following ways:
- Give a reseller purchase consent in the Google Admin console.
- Contact a Google Cloud partner.
You can still buy subscriptions from Google by adding a paid subscription in your Admin console or contacting Google Sales . You might need to modify your purchase consent as described in Understand purchase consent & product groups (later on this page).
Understand purchase consent & product groups
To buy a subscription through a reseller, they must have purchase consent to sell you that product. Purchase consent lets Google know that you authorize the reseller to sell you the selected products. If you're working with your first reseller and you haven't bought any subscriptions from Google, the reseller automatically has purchase consent to sell you subscriptions for all product groups unless you change it.
When you give purchase consent for a product, it applies to all products and services in that product group. For example, the Google Workspace product group includes all Google Workspace editions as well as all editions of Google Vault, the Google Workspace Storage add-on, and related services. The Google Voice product group includes Voice Starter, Voice Standard, and Voice Premier, plus related Voice services. You can review details about specific product groups later on this page.
Purchase consent among multiple resellers & Google
For any product group, only one reseller or Google can have purchase consent for that group. In other words, you can’t authorize one reseller to sell you some products or services within a product group and a different reseller or Google to sell you other products or services in that group.
If you want to allow additional resellers to buy subscriptions, you need to give purchase consent to the new resellers. If you already bought a subscription from Google and want to work with a reseller, you need to give the reseller purchase consent, even if it’s your first reseller.

Changing purchase consent
If a reseller has purchase consent for a product group but they haven’t bought any subscriptions for you in the group, you can change purchase consent to another reseller by following the steps in Give a reseller purchase consent (earlier on this page). You can also buy subscriptions in that group from Google. In either case, the original reseller’s purchase consent is revoked for the product group.
If a reseller has purchase consent for a product group and bought subscriptions in the group, you have to transfer the subscription to another reseller or Google to allow purchase consent. For details, go to Transfer subscriptions between Google & resellers .
