As a meeting host or co-host, you can lock all participants’ audio so they're muted. Once you turn off Audio Lock, everyone can unmute their devices. Audio Lock doesn't apply to you or other meeting co-hosts. You can only set Audio Lock from your computer or iOS device, but lock settings apply to all devices.
Lock participants' audio
Important:When you turn on Audio Lock, mobile participants may be removed from the meeting if their device doesn’t have:
- The most updated version of the Meet or Gmail app
- Android OS version M or newer
- iOS version 12 or newer
Once you turn Audio Lock off, removed participants can rejoin.
Lock participants' audio
- During the meeting, from the bottom right, click Host Controls.
- From the side panel that opens, toggle Turn on their microphoneon or off.
Tip:After you turn off Audio Lock, participants must manually turn on their microphones.
