Why this issue is happening
One or more of your products wasn't uploaded because your account has reached its maximum allowed number of products (quota). To learn more about how these limits work for different account types, read about Understanding quotas in Google Merchant Center .
Products that exceed your account's limit will not be uploaded or shown on Google.
How to fix your issue
To resolve this, you can either request a higher quota or remove products you no longer intend to sell or advertise.
Option 1: Request a quota increase
If your inventory has grown and you need more space, you can request a higher product limit. This is often the best solution if your products are active and valid.
- Check that you meet the minimum requirements
:
- You are using at least 80% of your current limit.
- Your account is in good standing (no active suspensions).
- You have fewer than 20% disapproved or pending products.
- Request a quota increase using the form in the Help Center.
Option 2: Remove products from your account
-
If you have old, out-of-stock, discontinued products, or low performing products, removing them can free up space for new inventory. How you remove products depends on how you added them to Merchant Center.
- If you use a Data source file: Do not simply delete products in the Merchant Center UI, as they will be re-added the next time your file uploads. Instead, remove the items directly from your data source file (for example, your spreadsheet or XML file) and re-upload it.
- If you use the API: Use the delete method to permanently remove specific products from your account. Stopping the upload is not enough, you must explicitly delete the product to free up quota immediately.
- If you add products manually or use " Automatically found
" products: You can remove these directly in Merchant Center:
- In your Merchant Center account, go to Products .
- Filter for the products you want to remove (for example by status or title).
- Select the products and select Deleteicon
to permanently remove them.
- For automatically found products: You can also choose to "Stop managing" these products in your Data source settings. This removes them from your managed inventory quota without permanently deleting the product information from Google's organic search index.
